A Year’s End Update from Jenn

Thank you for supporting us this past year in whatever way you have helped us. It has greatly contributed to the improvement of my quality of life and to the overall pursuit of better health for me.

Last year we asked for support from friends and family to help pay for the supplements and prescriptions and treatments that the doctor recommended. And thanks to your generosity, we were able to pursue most of the things the doctor recommended, and have seen some wonderful results: increased energy, ability to run, stamina for everyday life and care for our kids, return to my part-time job and business, and in general a renewed sense of peace and joy as we settled into this new life with less stuff and so much uncertainty. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Thanks to the monthly support we received throughout this year, we’ve been able to pursue treatment for myself and also for Rowan, who turned out to be suffering some of the same things as me. (Click here for more about Rowan.)

Where we stand in 2020

Would you consider being a monthly supporter this year, or continue supporting us as you have this past year? Any monthly amount is a great help to us and we cherish the opportunity to pursue health and treatment that is out of our reach on our own.

As the end of this 12 months of financial help is drawing to a close, we are deeply grateful for all of your generosity. We still have a long way to go, and are still in need of help. While it’s incredibly humbling to continue to rely on the help of others, that’s the truth of where we are at presently.

I have lots of treatment left to pursue and still many costs associated with that. Since I’ve returned to work, we’ve been busy budgeting and devising ways to pay off the debt that we accrued paying for testing and treatment and replacing essential items when we lost most of our possessions. The monthly treatment cost for me and Rowan is $1500. Even with tight budgeting and consulting with a financial advisor, we simply don’t have the means to pay for this right now.

Our goal in 2020 is to slowly decrease the treatment that we need as we heal, and to work toward absorbing the longer term costs so that hopefully, in another year or so, we might be positioned to pursue remaining treatments on our own. It looks to be a long path for both me and Rowan. Where we stand at present, we are still in need of help.

This new year looks like more supplements, some pharmaceuticals (that aren’t covered by our health insurance) and more consultations with the doctor and dietitian to continue making progress.

If you’d like to continue to support us (or to begin!) and are curious what the funds cover, here is how your generosity helps me and Rowan each month:

  • $300 prescriptions for me that are not covered by our health insurance
  • $300 natural anti-histamines that allow me to eat food without major symptoms
  • $300 vitamins and minerals to help replenish what mold toxin exposure has depleted
  • $200 binders for me and Rowan to help eliminate mold and other toxins in our bodies
  • $100 probiotics for me and Rowan to help replenish our bodies and get back to higher functioning.
  • $150 detox
  • $150 specialty air and water filters needed to prevent toxins from adding to our load

We welcome any questions about treatment costs or choices, and are so thankful for your continued prayers and willingness to journey with us.
